In this role, you will be responsible for workforce planning, recruitment and hiring appropriate talent, performance management, employee development and effective project management, of the Electrical/test, Process, and Mechanical engineers team.

Business objectives include driving continuous improvements in production yields and throughput, as well as on-time shipments of Philips Ultrasound products. Managers are expected to work with R&D, Marketing, Service, Quality and Supply Chain, introducing new Ultrasound Products, Upgrades, Lifecycle changes and cost reduction changes, that meet business/program requirements for quality, cost, manufacturability and testability.

Your role:

  • Leads the Product Industrialization engineering team in the execution of introducing innovation and changes into our Global Supply Chain production operations.
  • Arranges programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the Engineering organization.
  • Executes continuous improvements plans to reduce costs.
  • Delivers new releases or changes to production with high factory and supplier yields.
  • Ensures there is adequate staffing levels to support production line development and changes, product level assembly procedures, and leads all production line verification and validation activities.
  • Maintain commitment to environmental and quality regulations.
  • Supervises, selects, develops, coaches and evaluates personnel to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Manages pilot production and production preparation activities.
  • Possesses a strong working knowledge of Supply Cain Engineering and Global Manufacturing, including the underlying theories and concepts of manufacturing and product engineering.
  • Oversees the implementation of new systems and processes into global factories.
  • Develops functional level project schedules to support the project milestones and release requirements.
  • Managerial skills and stress management; able to balance the needs of multiple users.
  • Has a strong understanding of organization’s products and services.
  • Identify opportunities for individual and team performance improvement.
  • Identifies, understands, and manages risks.

  • BS Electrical Engineering. Strong understanding of Process and Mechanical engineering a plus
  • Experience with leading an engineering team to implement new products or changes into global factories.
  • 5+ Years in management or leadership required
  • Medical or other regulated experience preferred
  • Understanding of LEAN methodologies
  • Advanced written and verbal communication

The pay range for this position is $108,000 to $165,000, Annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
