What the Candidate Will Do

  • Adept at understanding and translating business and design requirements into technical solutions. Whether working on APIs, internal tools, or customer-facing features, ensures attention to detail for an optimal user experience.
  • Lead engineering teams to deliver impactful product features to customers. Make informed technical decisions with a clear understanding of trade-offs. Enhance team productivity and velocity through effective leadership.
  • Manage individual engineers’ performance through coaching and real-time feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, data scientists, operations, and other engineering teams to achieve common goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager with a track record of successfully leading teams in developing critical software.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer with a deep understanding of backend software development and a high-level understanding of frontend development.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to encourage and empower a diverse team.
  • Ability to work with product management and shareholders to drive vision
  • Validated ability to deliver high-quality software products on time and within scope.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ownership of product and team success, with strong engineering craftsmanship and practical problem-solving.
  • Experienced in leading consumer-first product teams, managing multiple teams through tech-leads and managers, and proven collaboration with teams across time zones.
  • Current with relevant technologies and skilled in effective implementation, with a strong background in distributed systems.
  • Naturally curious and dedicated to continuous learning.
