Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in public affairs, government relations, executive communications, program management, or related areas.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading complex projects independently, manage ambiguity, and drive alignment across diverse teams and storytelling skills; able to distill complex policy and business topics for varied audiences.
  • Experience working with government officials and corporate executives; demonstrated ability to represent organizational priorities with professionalism and credibility.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools and platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint); experience using Microsoft Copilot or interest in AI-powered tools is a plus.

  • Comfort operating in a dynamic, high-pressure environment; ability to prioritize, adapt, and respond with agility.
  • Skilled at synthesizing briefing materials and engaging in substantive dialogue with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership:Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of the CELA Executive Briefing Program, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with Microsoft’s global government engagement goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Serve as the primary liaison for briefing engagement logistics and content, partnering closely with Microsoft executives, policy leads, and subject-matter experts to deliver impactful engagements.
  • Briefing Development:Create tailored agendas and briefing materials that reflect regional priorities, government interests, and Microsoft’s strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration:Align with business and engineering stakeholders, the Executive Briefing Center, and regional field teams to ensure integration of policy priorities and consistency in message delivery.
  • Operational Excellence:Manage all logistics for high-stakes visits, including speaker alignment, compliance reviews, and on-site execution. Ensure a “white glove” experience for all delegations.
  • Insights & Reporting:Track engagement outcomes, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to inform future strategy. Leverage Copilot and Power BI tools to streamline reporting.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all briefings adhere to Microsoft’s compliance, legal, and travel policies. Partner with USGA and CELA compliance leads to managing approvals and documentation.
  • Program Innovation:Identify opportunities to proactively initiate and scale engagements, including with Ambassadors, Ministers, and Congressional staff. Help build a “CELA-certified” process for future hosts.
  • Executive Briefing Documentation: Own the collection, organization, and management of all briefing materials related to Vice Chair and President’s external engagements, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Engagement Readiness: Partner closely with CELA HQ leadership, and key stakeholders to ensure our Vice Chair and President is fully prepared for every external engagement—domestic and international—by delivering timely, high-quality briefing materials and strategic coordination.
