Cloud Engineer
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented to join our Smart Energy - Connected Utility - Application Engineering team at Honeywell in . In this role, you will be responsible for leading the management, deployment, troubleshooting, and configuration of cloud applications utilizing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), PostgreSQL, Azure Event Hub, and other related technologies. You will collaborate across teams to ensure seamless operations and application performance in a dynamic cloud environment. You will also design and implement Azure dashboards for effective maintenance and real-time monitoring of cloud resources and services.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, manage, and optimize Azure AKS clusters, ensuring the health and performance of containerized applications.
- Daily logs analysis, troubleshooting issues, and identifying patterns in log data.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Kafka, Azure Event Hubs and PostgreSQL services deployed within the application ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain Azure dashboards for real-time monitoring and alerting on resource utilization, application performance, and system health.
- Participate in daily operations, including log analysis, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability, security, and scalability.
- Document configurations, procedures, and issue resolutions to support continuous learning and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts and expertise in container orchestration.
- Extensive knowledge of Azure services including AKS, Azure Event Hub, Azure Monitor, and Azure Log Analytics.
- Strong command of Linux command line and familiarity with scripting for automation using Bash or PowerShell.
- Proficiency in networking concepts including VPN, IPSec, virtual networks, and subnetting.
- Experience or coursework in managing databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Kusto Query Language (KQL) is a plus.
- Understanding of event streaming platforms like Kafka is a plus.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell for automation.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana or Prometheus.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
