What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with business leaders on strategy development, including identifying current product adjacencies evaluating build/buy/partner options, and collaborating on target selection criteria

  • Identify new opportunities to accelerate the business, while also driving evaluation of future growth opportunities for Qualcomm overall

  • Research new markets, identify key trends, and translate data into impactful insights

  • Develop pipeline of prospective targets and be a Qualcomm brand ambassador to external partners

  • Partner with business unit leaders and lead discussions with our Executive Team to drive decisions

  • Drive M&A and investment opportunities through execution, negotiation, and due diligence, including financial modeling and valuation

  • Lead the Corporate Development and M&A Integration team and mentor team members through the deal process; project manage the full deal process across the broader organization

  • Guide and support post-acquisition integration efforts by leading/managing our Integration team

  • Develop network of industry contacts, venture capital firms, and investment banking/advisory executives to bring knowledge of market trends and opportunities to bear on strategic discussions

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field of study.

  • Fifteen (15)-year track record of leading a broad range of M&A deal types and detailed knowledge of the overall deal process

  • Six (6) years of leadership experience both people leadership and working cross functional teams.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 35%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Twenty (20)-year track record of leading a broad range of M&A deal types and detailed knowledge of the overall deal process

  • Ten (10) years of leadership experience.

  • Master's degree or MBA

  • Experience in tech industry preferably in SW, IOT, HW and Semi industries

  • Passion for and deep understanding of industry trends, and key industry metrics

  • Deep network of relevant companies and industry contacts

  • Experience in investment banking, corporate development and M&A integration

  • Knowledge of investments/ venture capital

  • Strategic problem solver who can help connect the dots in terms of where we operate today and new opportunities for transformative growth

  • Strong analytical skills with extensive valuation/financial modeling experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence across the organization and at the Executive and board level

  • Ability to effectively build relationships with internal and external partners. Strong self-starter; ability to champion opportunities and ensure timely decisions are made
