Internship: Sustainability Analyst (non-thesis)Job Description

Starting Date:15th July 2024

End date: 31st December 2024

: 40 h/week

Your role:

  • Conduct research on reporting standards, competitor performance, and stakeholder trends related to circular operations.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of industrial and non-industrial site performance, identifying best practices and business cases at the intersection of sustainability, business, and operations.

  • Provide daily support to ongoing sustainability programs and activities.

  • Lead communications, coordinate initiatives, manage working groups, and develop communities for sustainability.

  • Collaborate with the global team of six members, working with the Integrated Supply Chain and various stakeholders to achieve sustainability goals at Philips manufacturing sites.

You're the right fit if:

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Business/Economics, or a related field.

  • You have a strong affinity with and knowledge of the Sustainability sector.

  • You possess a structured, proactive, and independent working attitude.

  • You have excellent English communication skills.

  • You are good at communication with diverse stakeholders but at the same time enjoy working with numbers and data.

In return, we offer you

Next to that, we are offering a decent internship package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop

Please note that to be considered for an internship,
you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of which may be requested at any time. Students from outside the EU need to fill in an NUFFIC agreement, which needs to be signed by the student and the university.
