Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Apply curiosity and understanding of the market, target audiences, and IBM’s offerings to develop compelling messaging and content strategies that deliver the right content, at the right time, to the right audiences and drive the right outcomes.
  • Identify the intersections and relationships of key audience needs with industry priorities and strategic partner relationships to craft relevant and differentiated journeys for our clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate and communicate with multiple groups of critical stakeholders across a matrixed organization, inspiring confidence in the recommended course of action for our brand and our business.
  • Partner closely with internal and external creative partners, applying resourcefulness and creativity to develop the best creative work for IBM.
  • Advocate for bold, differentiated strategies that inspire audiences to take a new course of action.

This is a Hybrid role, attendance at the office will be required only 3 times per week.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in a marketing, brand and/or content strategy role with progressive levels of leadership responsibility.
  • Understanding of optimal multi-channel approach along the entire customer journey, including but not limited to social, digital, media and content.
  • Development of brand & content projects involving a variety of stakeholders and disciplines.
  • Experience building relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, both internally and externally (executives, clients, agencies, business partners).
  • Strategic planning and presentation; excellent written and verbal communications.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Analytical mindset to identify opportunities, test potential solutions and synthesize insights into recommendations for messaging, brand and content strategy.
  • Experience working in a global team, ideally with visibility across multiple geographies.
  • Experience developing messaging for a brand, business unit, or product line and cascading it across the customer journey
  • Growth mindset with an appetite to experiment and fail fast in the spirit of ongoing learning and improvement.
