Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce is responsible for leveraging marketing data across the enterprise to enable better experiences and outcomes via personalization, segmentation, targeting, and measurement. This position is responsible for all types of standard Salesforce Development and customization. This includes designing complex Salesforce solutions, coding, unit testing, building applications, and creating and modifying existing applications. Specific duties include: (1) collaborate cross-functionally across marketing, product, sales, and support; (2) build and support new and existing Salesforce applications using technologies such as Apex, Lightning, triggers, controllers and leverage the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform to enable critical integrations and company initiatives; (3) implement and maintain Salesforce customizations such as custom fields and objects, layouts, workflows, process builder, and validation rules; (4) be the technical subject matter expert for Salesforce and other technologies in our MarTech stack; (5) leverage expertise to drive technical aspects of a best-in-class digital marketing and sales automation architecture; (6) enhance and support existing ServiceCloud implementation and continue development to further automate and streamline workflows and processes; (7) analyze business requirements, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and implementing them to Salesforce objects, master-detail relationships, lookup relationships and Junction Objects; (8) design customer journeys and delivering exceptional digital customer experiences; (9) translate business requirements into effective technical designs and implementation; (10) execute marketing programs in a B2B SaaS environment; (11) design of custom objects, custom fields, pick lists, role based page layouts, workflow alerts & actions, validation rules, approval processes, custom tabs, custom reports, report extractions to various formats, design of visual force pages, record types, dashboards, and email generation according to application requirements; (12) develop Salesforce application front ends (such as Lightning, VisualForce); (13) Apex development in creating Custom Objects, Tabs, Triggers, Apex language, Classes, Force.com API, Apex Scheduler, Batch Apex, Standard Controllers, Custom Controllers and Controller Extensions; (14) utilize experience in implementing marketing tracking and attribution through various channels; and (15) integrate platforms via APIs and work with other tools in the MarTech stack including Sales Enablement tools. This position works with the following tools and technologies: APEX, REST API, JSON, DB2, CI/CD, Jira, SQL, HTML and Agile methodologies. This position supervises one Software Engineer.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience designing complex Salesforce solutions.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) Apex development in creating Custom Objects, Tabs, Triggers, Apex language, Classes, Force.com API, Apex Scheduler, Batch Apex, Standard Controllers, Custom Controllers and Controller Extensions; (2) analyzing business requirements, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and implementing them to Salesforce objects, master-detail relationships, lookup relationships and Junction Objects; (3) designing of custom objects, custom fields, pick lists, role based page layouts, workflow alerts & actions, validation rules, approval processes, custom tabs, custom reports, report extractions to various formats, design of visual force pages, record types, dashboards, and email generation according to application requirements; (4) integrating platforms via APIs and work with other tools in the MarTech stack including Sales Enablement tools; and (5) working with the following tools and technologies: APEX, REST API, JSON, DB2, CI/CD, Jira, SQL, HTML and Agile methodologies. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
