Your Career
As a Sr. Technical Marketing Engineer for Prisma Access at Palo Alto Networks, you will join a team responsible for driving our SASE/SSE products , including SaaS, IaaS, Network Virtualization and best in class Cloud delivered Security Services. You will work with cutting-edge technology, redefining the future of network security.
Your Impact
Technical Marketing Strategy: Develop, continuously refine, and execute the technical marketing plan for critical accounts to drive engagement and sales.
Content Creation: Create, maintain, and deliver effective technical tools, whitepapers, demos, videos, and technical training for sales teams, customers, and partners.
Automation Leadership: Lead automation initiatives within and across cross-functional teams, striving to achieve technical and operational excellence throughout the release process.
Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive research and testing to identify key advantages of our product lines and effectively communicate them to sales, customers, and partners.
Technical Evangelism: Act as a key technical evangelist for Palo Alto Networks, speaking at seminars, conferences, customer briefings, and internal meetings.
Product Enhancement: Collaborate with engineering to identify product gaps based on competitive analysis and work with Product Management (PM) to drive enhancements.
Domain Authority: Serve as the domain authority on Palo Alto Networks products, providing Systems Engineers with information on competitive questions.
Sales Support: Identify sales challenges arising from competitive situations and provide viable solutions.
Technical Documentation: Document technical concepts to ensure our products are well understood and utilized to their fullest potential.
Competitive Lab Setup: Setup and maintain a competitive test lab, including test harness, competitive products, and automation environment.
Product Testing: Configure and test competitive products, evaluating their strengths in security efficacy and product features.
Technical Ownership: Own the technical product area of Real User Monitoring (RUM) and provide analytics to monitor digital experience in Prisma Access.
Customer Focus: Maintain a passion for the customer journey, user experience, and usability with a knack for simplicity.
Your Experience
Experience: 5-7 years of experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer in the network/cybersecurity field or as a DevOps/Solution Architect, preferably for networking or data security products with focus on RUM, Observability, DEM, or APM is a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Automation experience with Java/Python, SASE/SSE expertise: SWG, CASB, DLP, FWaaS protocols, Threat Protection, Virtualization, Cloud Infrastructure knowledge: GCP, AWS, Azure
Agility: Ability to deliver high-quality work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Networking Knowledge: Prior experience with networking; cloud security experience is an added advantage.
Track Record: Proven track record of creating products from concept to market success.
User Experience Focus: Strong focus on end-user experience and data visualization tools and technologies.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, and trade show experience. Capable of communicating at both business and technical levels with internal teams, customers, partners, and executives.
Customer Advocacy: Strong customer advocacy skills with experience in handling difficult customer situations.
Initiative: Fast learner with strong initiative and a sense of ownership, committed to getting things done.
Automation Expertise: Experience with automation tools, building dashboards, etc.
Documentation Skills: Experience in writing and editing technical documentation and operational procedures.
This combined role will leverage your technical expertise, customer advocacy, and product management skills to drive the success of our Cybersecurity SASE Visibility and Analytics products, ensuring top-tier digital experience monitoring and comprehensive security solutions.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $151,700/yr to $245,400/yr.
