Monitor products field performance, identify trending issues. Prioritize based on severity, occurrence, and/or cost of each failure modes
Coordinate efforts with the Failure Analysis team to identify root-causes of problems
Collaborate with engineering, factory quality and suppliers to drive containment and corrective action implementation into production
Communicate field performance of the engineering system, gather buy-in from engineering leadership on improvement priorities and urgency
Drive upward design feedback during design reviews by utilizing information on field performance, reliability and factory quality issues. (DFMEAs)
Participate in continuous improvement activities and take preventive actions
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Prior applicable experience desired; preferably in a Quality, Failure Analysis or Service in consumer electronics or automotive
The successful candidate for this position must have a broad technical background with the ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, service, and suppliers across a wide variety of issues
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement to establish effective working relationships within Tesla and outside
Ability to use tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data
Programming Languages & Tools: SQL, Python, Minitab, JMP or similar are a strong plus
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
