Perform hardware and firmware integration of next generation Tesla industrial energy storage for BMS and battery related features
Hands-on testing, debugging and troubleshooting on product hardware and software
Designing and implementing test infrastructure as buck setup or HIL platform to break down system level validation into sub-system level validation and properly designed for stress tests on components and full system validation
Lead and own firmware feature validation, firmware regression for battery management system
Lead the test plan execution for new products with continuous feedback for new hardware revisions
Identify, escalate, and resolve issues with hardware and firmware during system bring up, battery performance, and integration with utility application
Hands-on with hardware bring up and prototyping and make sure the test infrastructure is reliable and sustainable for operation
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Engineering related field, or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience with electrical and software engineering components and an understanding of how they interact in a complex product
2+ years of experience in firmware and software validation for power converter, and battery design/testing
Exceptional analytical problem solving skills, able to identify and surface issues within complex HW/SW systems
Must be comfortable with hands-on lab work (including the use of scopes/logic analyzers, CAN tools, soldering irons, etc as needed to support integration)
Experience with C++ or Python
Effective communicator and excellent attention to detail
Previous work in the energy storage or electric vehicle charging industry
Experience with batteries, and renewable energy products and/or grid tie power electronics
Experience working on high voltage/high power system
