What You’ll DoWhat You’ll Bring
- Monitor products field performance, identify trending issues. Prioritize based on severity, occurrence, and/or cost of each failure modes
- Coordinate efforts with the Failure Analysis team to identify root-causes of problems
- Collaborate with engineering, factory quality and suppliers to drive containment and corrective action implementation into production
- Communicate field performance of the engineering system, gather buy-in from engineering leadership on improvement priorities and urgency
- Drive upward design feedback during design reviews by utilizing information on field performance, reliability and factory quality issues. (DFMEAs)
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and take preventive actions
- Degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Prior applicable experience desired; preferably in a Quality, Failure Analysis or Service in consumer electronics or automotive
- The successful candidate for this position must have a broad technical background with the ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, service, and suppliers across a wide variety of issues
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement to establish effective working relationships within Tesla and outside
- Ability to use tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data
- Programming Languages & Tools: SQL, Python, Minitab, JMP or similar are a strong plus
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
