What you`ll do
As a User Assistance Writer, you will…
- Research, map, and validate user journeys for our products with an emphasis of how language can increase adoption and improve onboarding.
- Create help documentation (embedded help, multi-media, and documentation) targeted at various user profiles.
- Write UI texts and other UX copy to enhance the usability of our products in close collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Create or participate in creation of video tutorials to guide our users through the apps (script writing, screen recording, video editing) that match our video guidelines.
- Define terminology (simple, consistent, and conforms to industry standards).
- Adhere to standards and guidelines to deliver high quality user assistance.
- Participate in initiatives to improve tools, processes, and content.
- Act as an advocate for an excellent user experience.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Human Computer Interaction, UX Design, Computer Science, or other related experience
- Proven excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, on-site or remotely
- Proven experience of managing video projects
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Practical experience with creating help or other learning content for software applications, in particular Cloud services
- Willingness to quickly acquire knowledge in new areas and adapt to change in an agile product development process
- Team player with good communication skills
- Visual/graphics skills (knowledge of Camtasia studio and PowerPoint is a plus)
- German skills are a plus
