Our Social Mobility Team was created to drive and coordinate Card's expanding efforts in the arena of workforce development, internal mobility, & social mobility. With a focus on local opportunities and designing scalable solutions, we are building and delivering upon an innovative and strategically bold agenda. As the Social Mobility Team lead, you would lead the delivery on some of our most critical efforts and would be responsible for a growing portfolio of mobility efforts including Catalys and the delivery of Workforce development programming like Customer Facing Associate Mobility (CFAM).

On Any Given Day, You’ll:

  • Lead moderate to large sized teams on high-priority mobility initiatives and work streams that span across Card and Capital One

  • Design, develop, and manage project plans and delivery roadmaps in a complex dynamic environment

  • Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical recommendations in support of project delivery

  • Drive solutions to complex problems across cross-functional teams by applying sound business judgment to navigate trade-offs between competing priorities

  • Manage a large set of stakeholders

  • Effectively manage scope, schedule, resources and budget and communicate status, impediments, and risks/issues across all levels of the program

  • Deliver results and influence business outcomes across all levels of the organization

  • Influence and manage stakeholders/Intent owners across COF ranging from VP+ to associate

Characteristics We're Seeking:

  • Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to thrive in gray space and quickly putting structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment

  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

  • Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams

  • Confident, respectful, and articulate when registering dissenting opinions with colleagues and senior management

Basic qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience working, supporting or partnering with internal business clients

  • At least 3 years of project management experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • 2+ years of experience facilitating Agile teams on IT projects

  • 5+ year of experience with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence)

  • 4+ years of experience working, supporting or partnering with internal business clients

  • 4+ years of project management experience

  • Certified Scrum Master Certification or Project Management Professional certification

This role is hybridmeaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting.Monday and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work daysTuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
