Job Background / Context:

The business is expected to serve predominantly the mid-sized corporate segment (client annual revenue of ~$100MM - $2.5BN) focused on a variety of growth industries with international banking needs.

A key element of this position is to work in close partnership with products, operations and risk management at all levels .

Key Responsibilities

  • Take part in the development and execution of the business strategy with goal to support our organic growth targets leading to sustainable and predictable results;

  • Grow market share in our key segments while looking for opportunities to expand the customer base;

  • Have a deep understanding of the local market and build long lasting relationships with clients and local authorities;

  • Responsibility for quality of the credit portfolio, origination in line with Target Market, prompt problem recognition;

  • Partner with Operations and Technology to ensure product delivery and excellent service;

  • Ensure sound quality of the credit portfolio and full compliance with credit policies and ensure a safe and sound control environment, with respect to compliance, legal and regulatory factors and closely manage KYC.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the banking sector, specifically within corporate and/or commercial banking;

  • Fluency in English and Hungarian language is required

  • Business builder capable of creating vision and motivating the team;

  • Hungary market knowledge and experience

  • Solid understanding of the different banking products;

  • Superior knowledge and experience in credit risk management and structuring deals.

  • Excellent client interaction skills, having worked with clients operating in different industries;

  • Strong execution skills;

  • Highly effective influencing skills, uses appropriate interpersonal and communication skills to gain acceptance of an idea, plan or activity;

  • Sound decision making while able to agreeably present another viewpoint;

  • Superior organizational skills, excellent written and presentation skills;

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix-environment;

  • Results-driven person with sound financial acumen;

Qualifications:

  • University Degree, preferred to have MBA or equivalent in Business Management / Banking or Chartered Accountant / CFA / CPA;
