The Manager Transportation Performance is a key in-house strategy execution role for an organized, passionate, goal-oriented, visionary leader who understands the challenges and the opportunities of a wide supply chain and transportation network. The primary focus of this position is to drive excellence in Perú transportation network. This role implements the vision and strategy for transportation programs, systems and processes required to define and support the company’s current and future distribution and supply chain requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow and measure daily performance of carriers, find gaps and prepare an improvement plan together with Distribution Center (DC) outbound team, carriers and others key stakeholders.
  • Improve overall transportation KPIs (OTIF, Speed, Sustainability and cost) for our omnichannel business: ecomm, retail and wholesale (department stores)
  • Lead IT initiatives and project related to transportation.
  • Optimize the transportation network for better cost, service, speed and reliability.
  • Drive the sustainability vision of the company for the whole network.
  • Take part in quarterly and annual budgeting process along with Supply Chain Finance
  • Be customer centric in everything we do, owning the delivery experience by enhancing consumer preference and convenience options.
  • Build up transportation metrics and track performance, lead improvement agendas.
  • Define and deliver cost saving initiatives to optimize annual transportation spend.
  • Lead B2B and B2C tender process with Global Procurement
  • Prepare and run transportation tender processes.

Requisite Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years people management experience
  • A bachelor’s degree Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related. Master degree (preferred).
  • Professional Certifications in PMP, Six Sigma (preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in an advanced supply chain and/or transportation management environment
  • Advanced MS Office skills and Power BI minimun intermediate level.
  • Knowledge of TMS systems.
  • Strong project management experience, from ideation to execution and follow-up
  • Advanced english

Hard skills:

  • Expertise on parcel carrier and last mile network, with suppliers, services, and consumer preferences
  • Working experience with a Transportation Management and Optimization system
  • Change management experience and communication skills, particularly interpersonal, in complex large / matrix organizations.
  • Strong analytic and financial acumen; demonstrated experience in budgeting, and contract negotiations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of transportation policy and law accompanied with knowledge of transportation technologies, databases and telematics systems is an advantage.
