What a typical day looks like:
- You will establish and manage long term strategic relationships with core suppliers, drive engagement with Flex sites and business units;
- Guide the commercial selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet Automation Integrations and Components costs and performance goals;
- Design and deploy programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimization;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, communicating regularly with other departments to ensure smooth operations as well to ensure timely manufacturing ramp on new programs;
- Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges. Develop, implement, and communicate strategical and tactical commodity plans internally and to Flex customers as appropriate;
- Provide access to leading technology, product roadmaps, technology strategies and industry trends;
- Provide point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate.
- Participate in the review of supplier contracts, outlining requirements and considerations;
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to optimize supply chain operations, adhering to our compliance standards;
- Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product;
- High level participation in daily procurement activities and effective problem solving on daily issues;
- Be able to track, document, and communicate SOW changes to Supplier and Stakeholders on a fast-paced environment;
- Drive costreduction/improvementnegotiations considering a Total Cost of Ownership approach.
- BA/BS or equivalent workexperience:3 to 5+ years experience required;
- Engineering with Commercial background experience required;
- Strong Knowledge inmanufacturing/Processespreferrable for the electronics industry;
- Manufacturing and Customer-facing experience including management;
- Strategic Supplier Development;
- Contract Negotiation experience;
- Advanced English;
- Leadership and teamwork skills;
- Problem Solving and Detail-oriented;
- Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization;
- Office (Advanced Excel & PPT);
- Automation background is a plus!.
