You will be a member of the Integrated Regulatory Office (IRO),The IRO works cross functionally with subject matter experts across SAP who are responsible for achieving Cloud compliance for the SAP operating business and the SAP products. This role will be part of the China Cybersecurity Compliance setup that addresses regulatory requirements that are part of China’s cyber framework, including the China Cybersecurity Law, the Personal Information Protection Law, and the Data Security Law.

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Regulatory Researcher role are to support the onboarding and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements in the China Cybersecurity Law (CCSL) Compliance Program, including

• General monitoring and impact assessment of the full cyber related landscape (both evolving and emerging regulations that are relevant to SAP)
• Frame overall regulatory compliance landscape of China in context of SAP business for CCSL Program
• Pursue expert and authority channels for specific research topics, especially to cover technical specifications and standards - related to product, business, and/or process engineering
• Work with Government Affairs and Legal, amongst others, to formulate compliance requirements and risk analyses, and as required to participate in the execution of compliance activities
• Participate in selective engagements with regulatory authorities, standards bodies, and industry groups

In this role you will work closely with colleagues in Legal, Security, Data Protection & Export Control, Government Relations, and other compliance and technical functions including Product Development, Cloud Operations, and the Operating Lines of Business to achieve the required regulatory compliance results in a collaborative and constructive manner.
