Mission of Function:

  • Design and implement of the Pricing strategy to ensure the success of the SI B PRO business in the US to enable profitable growth
  • Ensure that pricing is an integral discipline of the sales and marketing strategy for Product Business
  • Align positioning of product selling prices to market potential and existing competition, harvesting Siemens brand premium
  • Set the basis to maximize growth and enhance customer loyalty
  • Focus management attention on pricing excellence- internal and external.
  • Actively drive the transfer price process and responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining transfer pricing policies and procedures. This role requires a deep understanding of transfer pricing principles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governance owner for the translation of the Global Pricing Policy and directives in the US and foreign markets
  • Owner of the Local Pricing Policy derived from Global Pricing Directive: Act as the primary source of price communication for sales and product management through extensive price measurement and understanding of product prices within global and local markets
  • Manage the Annual Planning Cycle for Price Setting processes and activities within the US and the countries served out of the US:
  • Coordinate the setting of RLP/LLP (Reference/Local List Prices) defining the right positioning versus competition
  • Define the discount matrix and tier pricing strategy for the local US market
  • Managing the intra company business pricing strategy
  • Define the transfer prices for the export business
  • Coordinate the communication of Yearly General Price Increase
  • Leverage Pricing Analytics and push implementation of actions to improve pricing intelligence. Key expert for AI Pricing Suite topics like Discount Recommender and Data Driven Discount Guideline
  • Support the preparation of business cases for Price repositioning decisions
  • Support pricing aspects of Siemens IT tools for sales (Sie Sales, SIE Quote, I-Mall) and order fulfillment (SAP systems)
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and reviewing SAP master data related to product configuration changes.
  • Project Promotion and special pricing Governance Owner and process lead ensuring a coordinated work between LCB and TU
  • Tracking of Product Price Realization (PPR) and Customer Price Development (CPD) KPIs
  • Lead the transfer price definition process in close collaboration between all involved stakeholders to gather relevant data and information for transfer pricing purposes.
  • Secure transfer pricing documentation as per internal procedures and drive digitalization opportunities to streamline this process. Manage contracts and agreements regarding transfer pricing.
  • Prepare documentation and support clarifications for tax audits in close cooperation with Corporate Tax Department.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on transfer pricing matters.
  • Support transfer pricing audits and inquiries from tax authorities and conduct international transfer pricing projects.
  • Active member of the Global Pricing Community

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum experience of 3+ years in the field of transfer pricing. Strong knowledge of transfer pricing principles and international tax regulations
  • 5 + years of pricing management or a related field, including solid exposure to managing pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives, and creating pricing process documentation

  • Apply expertise in pricing strategies and market trends to drive profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and finance, to optimize pricing decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth pricing analysis, evaluating margin impact, competitor pricing, and market trends.
  • Monitor and report on pricing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement pricing proposals for new products and services.
  • Support the creation of promotional campaigns and conduct cost-benefit analyses to maximize revenue.
  • Stay informed on market dynamics, competitor pricing strategies, and industry best practices.

The pay range for this position is $118,300 - $202,800 and the annual commission target is 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
