As a Principal Associate, Market Researcher at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and research skills to major company challenges. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Research Orientation:A proven track record of market research. Conceptual thinking skills and a thirst for open-ended questions must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation.

Manage and sequence delivery of business initiatives, build business requirements, and execute against our market research agenda. Work on multiple projects concurrently. Partner with and manage vendors as they execute research studies. Draft research reports, including developing data charts, graphs, and presentations.

Strong Executive Communication & Storytelling Skills:Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively summarize analysis for an executive audience is essential.

Clear Results Orientation:Display an intense focus on achieving both short- and long-term goals. Research should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment.

Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a primary market research role on either the supplier side or client side

• At least 3 years of experience executing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Behavioral Sciences, or Consumer Psychology

• 7+ years of experience in a primary market research role on either the supplier side or client side

• 4+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting large data sets into insights to inform business strategies

• Experience working with analytical tools such as Python, R, SAS, SPSS, SQL, Q or similar tools

McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Associate, Market Research New York, NY: $128,000 - $146,100 for Principal Associate, Market ResearchThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
