As a Technology Sales Engineer you will develop trusting client relationships and work with them to shape the future of their technology landscape. Your role of a consultative seller will accelerate enterprises’ success by providing award winning solutions that enable people across organizations and roles to meet their goals.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Brand Technical Specialist you’ll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM’s industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.

  • Storage Strategy Creation: Creating client strategies for storage solutions.
  • Enhanced Storage Solutions: Defining IBM storage options to improve existing technology.
  • Proof of Concept Delivery: Providing proofs of concept and simplifying technical topics for client understanding.
  • Complex Cloud Deal Closure: Building trust to successfully close complex cloud tech deals.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
• Use technical and business acumen to understand the client’s business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape
• Collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
• Deliver effective Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Technology (POT), and support critical situations
• Actively engage with clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM solutions.
• Apply IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods, and models to ensure world-class design and delivery
• Solid presentation skills and a deep understanding of storage technologies and how to position winning solutions
• At least 4 years of experience in Enterprise Storage Pre-Sales
• At least 5 years of experience in Enterprise Storage systems including Enterprise Storage systems including Hybrid Cloud and Data Resiliency Technology
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• At least 5 years of experience in IT Storage Solutions Sales
• Professional data center experience as a customer and/or partner
