In this role, you will:

  • Act as a data governance leader for CIB applications, working with Application Business Owners (ABOs) and Product Managers to develop and implement data control strategies.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing data controls to identify gaps or deficiencies requiring remediation
  • Provide guidance and training to ABOs and Product Managers on data control requirements and best practices ensuring alignment with the Data Management Policy and Procedures.
  • Collaborate with other Data Management team members to develop and implement companywide data governance strategies.
  • Represent CIB in cross-functional groups to develop and implement effective governance tools.
  • Proactively identify and address emerging data control risks.
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Partner with groups companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 7+ years of finance, data management, business research or analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 7+ years of experience in capital markets, securities, investment banking, securities operations, financial services or similar
  • 7+ years of relationship management or project experience with business and technology partners to achieve shared objectives


Desired Qualifications:

  • Solid working knowledge of one or more of the following: corporate and investment banking; capital markets; finance / controllers financial reporting; regulatory reporting; credit risk; counterparty risk.
  • 2+ years proven thought leadership demonstrated in complex, multiple workstream initiatives
  • 2+ years of leading or participating in efforts that elicit, synthesize, and document business requirements, conduct analysis, and design solution
  • Regulation experience such as Basel, Dodd-Frank, BCBS 239 or similar
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders
  • Strong control mindset
  • Ability to prepare and present senior level communications
  • Solid conflict management and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and client centric focus
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

Pay Range

$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
