Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Compute Customer Engineering will lead a team responsible for working with world-leading compute device makers to design, develop, and commercially launch Qualcomm compute SoC products. This role requires a deep understanding of customer requirements, strong communication skills, and the ability to resolve feature development and product commercialization issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Compute Customer Engineering team.

• Collaborate with OEM and ODM partners to ensure successful product launches.

• Understand and communicate customer requirements and designs to internal product and development teams.

• Resolve hardware and software design-related issues and features from customer designs.

• Provide training and support to customers on software feature design, integration, development, and system debugging.

• Handle customer Q&A and work closely with internal developers to resolve issues.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and external partners.

Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years’ experience including hands-on engineering development or customer support role and 5+ engineering leadership or similar leadership role .

• Extensive experience in compute OEM or ODM engineering or project management lead roles.

• Strong knowledge of operating systems, including scheduling, synchronization, and memory management.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with debugging tools like Windbg or GDB is a plus.

• Experience with post-mortem dump analysis is a plus.

• Experience with Windows/ACPI/UEFI is a plus.

Education Requirements:

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• High motivation, the ability to learn quickly, and a self-starter attitude.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• 4+ years of experience with debugging techniques.
