Key Qualifications
- Solid academic and industry track record in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Postdoctoral research related to battery materials is a plus.
- Strong background in polymer synthesis, modification, and characterization techniques.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing coating processes for polyolefin base membranes, with a focus on functional separator development.
- Experience in developing binder materials for anode electrodes in lithium-ion batteries, including knowledge of binder formulation, electrode processing, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in a range of analytical techniques such as SEM, TEM, FTIR, XPS, NMR, DMS and electrochemical analysis for material characterization.
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan, execute, and analyze experiments, as well as troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and present findings to stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset to drive innovation in separator and binder materials.
- Experience in battery research and a comprehensive understanding of lithium-ion battery components and performance factors are advantageous.
