As a Field Service Engineer, you will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on our life-changing medical equipment. It’s a role that will see you going out on the road to visit our customers on site, however based mainly on the coverage of the Lugo Health Area (Hospital Lucus Augusti and satellite centers). Resolving issues and providing exceptional service, you’ll ensure we achieve optimal customer satisfaction. It’s vital work. Your expertise will be invaluable when it comes to making sure patients have access to the best possible care.Roles and Responsibilities
  • Expertise to drive different manufacturer environment (“multivendor”), Vital Support, Monitory systems, as well as basic Diagnostic Imaging equipment (Ultrasound, XR, etc.)

  • Broadening knowledge of own sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups to execute policy/strategy. Still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.

  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of definedinstructions/parameters.

Required Qualifications
  • A diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics or Biomedical Engineering Technology, or solid experience as Field Service Engineer. Other technical background will be considered.

  • Good technical skills with a systematic and thorough approach to problem solving

  • The ability to plan and organize your work own effectively, and to work with minimal direction

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and customer service skills – you can deal with differences of opinion tactfully and effectively, and you influence rather than direct

  • Good knowledge of English language to properly play the information, successfully attend training courses and allow fluent communication in this language

  • A strong business acumen – you have a good understanding of the factors that influence customer behavior

Proven and progressive previous experience into C-suite and technical decision makers e.g. CEOs, Strategic Planning Directors, Facilities/Estates managers, Biomedical Engineers, nursing staff, medical specialty staff (Anesthesiology, Radiology, Intensive care, Nuclear Physicists etc.)
