Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools (e.g., Icepak/FlothermXT and related meshing techniques) for thermal analysis of consumer products.
- Experience with thermal simulation and validation.
- Experience with consumer electronics sub-systems design based on their thermal behavior.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with the development and integration of electro-mechanical components (e.g., display assemblies, batteries, and antenna).
- Knowledge of materials science and Consumer Electronics related material properties (e.g., molded plastics and elastomers, aluminum and steel alloys, glass, etc.).
- Ability to communicate well with cross-functional team members, collaborate to achieve project goals, and manage JDM validation test efforts.
