As the Director of Statutory Accounting and Reporting, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the multi-national statutory accounting and audit process within NetApp. Your primary role will be to ensure compliance with legal requirements and financial regulations by leading a team of statutory accounting professionals.
In this role, the Director will:
Coordinate with external auditors and Corporate Legal to develop and implement audit plans in accordance with statutory requirements and company policies and ensure timely completion of audit reports and filings and ensure visibility to all key stakeholders and senior management.
Establish accounting positions and other accounting requirements in connection with the adoption of new standards as well as any significant changes to legal and tax structures or M&A.
Respond to audit findings and implement recommendations effectively.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and other relevant parties, to address inquiries and ensure compliance with requirements.
Maintain a deep understanding of applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive process improvements.
Provide guidance and training to staff on relevant accounting and audit topics, procedures, and best practices.
Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by senior management.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a focus on statutory accounting and regulatory compliance within a multinational company.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CIA certification preferred with knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including IFRS or US GAAP, and experience applying them to complex transactions.
The base salary range for this position is $120k-$203k (+bonus) and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
