As a Network Support Engineer you will be responsible for operating the network infrastructure where you will learn the tools, services and components that the team relies upon every day. In this role a Amazon Network Support Engineer will focus on operating at scale our next-generation networks, you will utilise your networking skills along with our advanced tools and systems to reduce manual operations. The work will include:* Responding to customer incidents/requests that may span multiple AWS services
* Troubleshooting and diagnosing network problems at a device level following established workflows
* Accurately recording and documenting your work in readiness for escalating issues to more senior network engineers* Influencing our operations function, updating existing runbooks where are our process and procedures can be improved
* Amending existing automation, fixing simple problems so they don't come back
* Assuring our network security posture
* Ensuring all network devices are up-to-date running the latest approved firmware versions
* Working with third-party providers to keep the network running
* Engaging with our data centre operations team to replaced failed network devicesA day in the life
