Job Description

include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Managing Director to enhance awareness on our Company’s Values and Standards, Corporate Policies and Compliance Policies, SOPs and Guidance;
  • Lead and oversight of implementation of our evolving compliance frameworks for local business organizations in collaboration with Legal & Compliance (Policies, SOPs and Guidance)
  • Understand Business needs and partner with internal Business Stakeholders to better provide solutions in full compliance;
  • Serve as “guardian” of all business-related policies and procedures that include compliance controls (excluding policies owned by Finance or HR) in close collaboration with the Managing Director.
  • Act with a solution-oriented mindset leveraging a strong knowledge and understanding of business needs and dynamics.
  • Ensure alignment with global and regional policies, procedures & global standards.
  • Lead the facilitation and/or support the ethics & compliance risk assessment process under the direction of the Managing Director, report out results to the Leadership Team and Country Compliance Committee, follow up on defined actions to ensure timely completion.
  • Take a strong and active role in ensuring consistent and effective compliance standards in the organization.
  • Work with Managing Director, Country Compliance Committee and Country Leadership Team on key compliance metrics.
  • Actively identify and address compliance issues with Country Compliance Committee, escalating potential risks to the Compliance Committee.
  • Support the implementation and operation of tracking /monitoring systems). Reviewing and following up action items within the Compliance Committee as appropriate.
  • Is an active member of the Country Grants and Donations Committee (assist with documentation, provide input on requests…) and on the Compliance Committee.
  • Provide guidance to Business Stakeholders on queries relating to the local Code of Practice, Policies and Healthcare Professional (HCP) interactions.
  • Regular self-audits of HCP interactions and documentation / reporting of results.
  • Act as Privacy Steward, this includes support the organization to perform the PIAs, know where to direct questions related to potential privacy matters, refer to Global Privacy Office.
  • Oversight and Coordination (Commercial Operations guidance) of EFPIA and other relevant and changing local pharma promotional codes.
  • Manage implementation of changes, conduct review sessions with stakeholders, communicate & train (or support training by subject matter experts) on new and revised policies, processes and procedures, document training and ensure attendance sheets for training are tracked and stored appropriately.
  • Plan and lead the implementation of compliance projects in consultation with Legal & Compliance, work as a Change Agent to manage changes.
  • Act as primary point of contact for Audit and Risk Assessment processes.

Education & Minimum Requirements

  • Law Degree Preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of Audit, Compliance, Legal, or comparable business experience in the healthcare industry.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Strong expertise in all compliance related aspects, including laws, regulations, procedures, policies, and SOPs; awareness of international guidelines and rules.
  • Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical companies’ infrastructure and processes.
  • Strong understanding of business needs and dynamics.
  • Full awareness of activities that are subject to mandatory disclosure between pharmaceutical companies and HCPs/HCOs, together with their underlying processes, source systems and data flows.
  • Familiarity with compliance guidelines and data protection legislation.
  • Prior experience in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Pronounced diplomacy with strong negotiation skills; demonstrated ability to influence senior management; strong cultural awareness.
  • High ethical standards, being a role model of business compliance and integrity.
  • Proven ability to develop sustainable cooperative professional relationships on all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage complexity with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Language – Must befluentin English and Italian, written, and oral.
