Key Responsibilities

Qualcomm's Marketing Planning team is focused on continuing to foster an integrated approach to strategic planning and championing consistent, strategic ways of working across the marketing organization. In this role you will be the Integrated Marketing Planning lead for the Compute Marketing Plan and you will:

  • Work closely with the Compute Product Marketing leads to develop and implement the end-to-end Compute Integrated Marketing Plan

  • Drive 360 planning forums with cross-functional core team

  • Drive communication and alignment across 360 team, ensure milestones are communicated and met; ensure plans are kept on budget

  • Support regional team engagement, communication & collaboration.

  • Maintain master plan as things evolve throughout the year.

  • Drive Compute Marketing Plan quarterly business reviews with key stakeholders and Marketing leadership

  • Share challenges and lessons learned

  • Collaborate with Measurement team to track and measure the Compute program; create after action review.

  • Closely collaborate with the Planning team to ensure initiatives support the broader Marketing goals; streamline planning ways of working and create meaningful planning resources for the broader Marketing team

  • Drive the “new and different”: identify opportunities for efficiencies, integration, consistencies and overall effectiveness for planning;

  • Establish trusted relationships across Marketing team and cross-departmental stakeholders

Required Competencies

  • Ability to drive effective cross-functional collaboration and maximize of the integration across marketing leads

  • Synthesize feedback and identify themes/patterns to make recommendations that optimize the overall Marketing Plan, with tight alignment to priorities.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Full proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel

  • Communication: convey information clearly and accurately, choosing the most effective method of delivery; superior communication skills across all levels of leadership; skilled at creating executive level communication via powerpoint to gain alignment and sell-in ideas

  • Ability to create and drive the “new and different” – create and produce breakthrough ideas, being a visionary, seeing and assessing multiple possible outcomes, have a broad interest and knowledge in the business; ability to gain support and drive new ideas to fruition

  • Decision making – ability to make quick, business-sound decisions; being resourceful in getting information needed to make decisions; ability to drive decisions in the absence of concrete data; ability to influence organization decisions

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex and matrixed environment; embrace change

  • Organized, resourceful and planful – the ability to prioritize, get things done, work on multiple tasks, and anticipate and plan around obstacles

This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

High school Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in business finance, operations, marketing or related work experience

  • 7+ years working in a large matrixed organization

  • Qualcomm knowledge a plus

  • Compute/PC business knowledge a plus

Pay range:

$125,000.00 - $187,000.00
