Job Description
You will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions for data management, including data movement, transformation, insights and governance to support Bio-Pharma Research needs. This product team will leverage enterprise capabilities to service research needs and only enable solutions to fill gaps or support bespoke needs of research. You will work closely with research stakeholders to understand their needs, define and groom backlog, and enable solutions in an agile fashion. This role will lead a cross-functional team of product analysts and engineers to architect, engineer and implement custom or COTS solutions to support the stakeholder needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with research stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable backlog items
Define and groom backlog to enable development of solutions in an agile fashion
Establish strong working relationship with enterprise teams and leverage and influence roadmap of their D&A and cloud products to support research needs
Develop a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for the product, aligned with the organization's goals and objectives
Be accountable for the total cost of ownership of solutions and services in the product, ensuring cost-effective and efficient solutions
Make investment decisions based on the value generated for the users, balancing business needs and user requirements
Lead a cross-functional team of product analysts and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and services
Establish strong platform engineering capability to enable highly reliable and available D&A solutions to service all of research community
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
A minimum of 7 years' experience directly related to enterprise D&A platform solutions enablement, operation and support
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role
Strong understanding and hands-on engineering experience in cloud
Proven experience working with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable backlog items
Experience developing product strategies and roadmaps
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and practices
Strong leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively
Experience implementing, scripting, and operating cloud-based infrastructure, preferably in AWS
Experience in ensuring reliability, availability, and performance of dynamic environments
Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical and non-technical information verbally and in writing
Ability to recruit and nurture talent in the organization
Experience with biopharma research stakeholders is beneficial
Experience with Product Management tools like Jira, Jira Align and experience working in agile methodologies (scrum, Kanban etc.) is also welcome
