Process Analysis & Optimization: Study current manufacturing and production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Recommend solutions to optimize throughput and reduce cycle times.
Work Measurement & Time Studies: Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard times for operations and develop a basis for labor costs.
Lean Manufacturing & Waste Reduction: Apply Lean principles, including value stream mapping, and Kaizen, to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
Capacity Planning & Resource Allocation: Analyze production capacity, workforce availability, and equipment utilization to support efficient resource allocation and manage production demands.
Data Collection & Reporting: Collect and analyze data on production rates, equipment performance, and operational metrics. Generate reports to communicate findings and support continuous improvement efforts.
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in industrial engineering or related areas.
PREFERRED:
Experience in a capacity planning and supply chain planning in a manufacturing environment
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation.
SKILLS:
Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of industrial engineering tools and concepts, such as time studies, line balancing, and layout optimization.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail when analyzing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
Software Skills: Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and exposure to CAD software (AutoCAD) for layout design.
Project Management: Basic understanding of project planning, ability to prioritize tasks, and work efficiently to meet project deadlines.
