Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in critical thinking, problem-solving, and operational excellence.
  • 1+ years of experience navigating complex systems, processes, and programs.
  • 2+ years of experience creating complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, and performing data analysis and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 5+ years accounting or finance experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 3+ years accounting or finance experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.
  • Communication skills to influence business partners and deliver complex messages with clarity.
  • Planning and organizational skills with ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Effective interaction and communication across a broad spectrum of audiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • Experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.

  • Experience in the technology or software industry.

  • ASC 606 experience/ practical application

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate customer agreements, including amendments to those agreements, document the proper technical revenue conclusions, and prepare revenue adjustments in accordance with ASC 606 Microsoft revenue policies, and customer/field intent.
  • Develop and maintain depth and breadth of knowledge over Microsoft products, services and policies.
  • Engage with deal desk to gather deal specific information and business context required to effectively complete contract reviews and drive compliance within Microsoft empowerment guidance.
  • Review peer's work product for completeness and accuracy once proficiency of product and services knowledge is attained.
  • Perform quarter end close revenue tasks independently.
  • Contribute to process-improvement efforts by collecting and reviewing business partner and team feedback and incorporating industry best practices.
  • Assist with internal and external audit queries on revenue recognition.
  • Identify and assess financial statement risk to provide input on initiatives to enhance control compliance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
