- Work closely with production operators and plant engineering teams to resolve and improve chemical processing equipment downtime issues.
- Leading response to EHS incidents, quality issues and audit findings through root cause analysis and highly effective corrective actions.
- Helping to lead a safety-driven culture through management of change (MOC), process hazard analysis (PHA) and participation on site and department safety committees.
- Leading Continuous Improvement teams and Product and Process Understanding (PPU) efforts to improve safety, increase yields, improveproductivityand raise the bar for process capability on manufacturing equipment
- Creating andmaintainingstandard operating procedures, work instructions and test methods
- Supporting a dynamic 24x7 operation through a willingness to be on-call
Your Skills andExpertise
(at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)in chemical or mechanical engineering from anaccreditedinstitution
Three (3) years of combined experience inprocess orproductengineeringin a private, public, government or military environment
qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
aster’s degree inChemical or Mechanical Engineering(completed and verified prior to start)in chemical or mechanical engineering from anaccreditedinstitution
Five(5) years of combined experience inprocess orproductengineeringin a private, public, government or military environment
Excellent mechanical and/or chemical aptitude and problem-solving skills; practical and hands-on, with analytical comprehension and data driven decision making
Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Analysis
Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams from multiple locations and divisions
Ability to navigate through ambiguity and change
Must be legally authorized to work inof employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
