Product Engineer
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Product Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leads and supports successful NPI programs through all phases with responsibility for Packaging Tape Value Stream
- Implements packaging cost improvement projects across Cynthiana site, e.g. shipper consolidations, coordination of structure changes with corporate packaging engineering to drive plant productivity and materials cost reduction
- Vendor management for packaging suppliers, responsible for Line Rejects, TQRDC process
- Support sustainability and business supply chain projects and new product experiments, scale-ups and start-ups within the site
- Lead and execute growth capital projects across the site
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of combined experience in manufacturing or product engineering in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of manufacturing or product engineering in a private, public, government or military environment
- Skills include adaptability to think on your feet and quickly resolve issues, ability to work and interact effectively with others, the ability to make informed decisions and tackle problems strategically.
- Project management experience – demonstrated ability to oversee projects from start to finish
