Job Summary

The Manager, Consolidations will be responsible for global financial consolidation activities of 40 plus entities around the globe as well as general ledger and financial reporting for Corporate functions. The individual in this role is required to have in-depth accounting knowledge at the Corporate level,, and the ability to solve complex accounting issues. This position regularly interacts with other Corporate departments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Active/Integral member of the Finance team focused on driving standardization, simplification and process improvements
  • Manage the Monthly Close timeline, ensuring global deadlines are met and in accordance with SEC reporting requirements
  • Coordinate the global consolidation process, working closely with our individual legal entity contacts across all regions of North America, Europe, Asia, and South America
  • Own Hyperion and Blackline systems, serving as Business Administrator and subject matter expert. Provide support for users and assist in meeting external and internal reporting needs.
  • Participate in projects as needed, providing consolidation support for system implementations and changes in the business
  • Perform and review month-end closing activities, inclusive of month-end reports, journal entries both within the local SAP ledger for the Corporate business unit as well as in Hyperion for top-side consolidation items, and required items to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to defined standards
  • Manage one direct report, overseeing and developing Senior Accountant, Finance
  • Provide critical interface with controllership, tax, treasury and FP&A teams
  • Interact with cross-functional teams that include , operations, investor relations, legal, human resources, internal and external audit, and others, as necessary
  • Work in collaboration with the External Reporting and Technical Accounting team in supporting all quarterly and annual external reporting requirements, specifically as it relates to the completeness and accuracy of all underlying consolidated financial results
  • Work closely with our IT function, leveraging past experiences to enhance our Corporate close process and streamlining our monthly, quarterly, and year-end activities
  • Analyze Corporate department spending variances and assist in the Corporate budgeting process
  • Analyze consolidated financials to support accurate financial reporting

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Work Experience
  • 7-8 years relevant experience required
  • Candidate requires private industry experience in multinational manufacturing companies, including experience in consolidation role
  • Significant, hands-on transactional experience with ERP and consolidation systems, preferably SAP and HFM
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley 404.
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to learn and apply technical accounting concepts in accordance with US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
  • Ability to understand problems, collect & summarize data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Analytical skills inclusive of the ability to review financial results and identify anomalies
  • Must be able to identify and implement necessary process and system updates to meet business needs
  • Proven track record of working in a team in environment with a variety of departments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate well within a global organization
  • Ability to develop enhanced reporting, meeting business needs and providing efficiency and clarity
  • Working knowledge of emerging technologies and tools, such as AI and RPA

License and Certifications
  • Active CPA license required
Physical Requirements
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
