Senior Manager, Accounting: Close & Consolidations

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of motivated associates responsible for overseeing our month end close process and delivering well managed consolidated and legal entity financial statements

• Lead team in driving a number of exciting initiatives and system enhancements, including acquisitions / divestitures and the implementation of a new ERP system

• Lead team in building well managed intercompany loan / transaction process and provide technical accounting expertise around complex legal entity structures

• Include, inspire, and empower associates. Actively support training, development, and evaluation of associates to build / maintain a high-performing, cohesive team

• Build relationships, collaborate, and partner cross-functionally with customers and key stakeholders, including accounting systems and technology partners

• Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace and continue to build positive team brand

• Support compliance activities

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or military experience

• At least 7 years of experience in accounting, audit, finance, or a combination

• At least 2 years experience in of people management

• At least 1 year of experience leading a Close & Consolidations process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

• At least 8 years of experience in accounting, or audit or finance, or a combination

• At least 3 years experience in of people management

• At least 5 years of experience with financial institutions

• At least 3 years experience leading a Close & Consolidations team

McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900 for Sr. Manager, Accounting Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr. Manager, Accounting Wilmington, DE: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr. Manager, AccountingThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
