What you’ll do:
As the Vice President of the Content Design Practice, you’ll specialize in onboarding and continued learning experiences at SAP, you will lead a team of UX writers and content strategists to develop and execute content plans for inclusive, usable product experiences and play a pivotal role in shaping user experiences through content.. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and create intuitive and user-centric onboarding experiences that set a high standard for user engagement and satisfaction. Your role extends to crafting and refining the content strategy for educational content, ensuring consistency and clarity in all learning materials. Leveraging your expertise in content design principles and user-centered design, you will elevate the written content of our products' learning journeys, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience.
Expectations and tasks:
Lead a growing, global team of UX writers and content strategists
Define and lead the content design strategies for onboarding and learning experiences, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs
Create high quality content design deliverables and artifacts including but not limited to strategy presentations, customer journeys, future state/art of the possible experiences; Figma boards, prototypes, etc. Educate, socialize and evangelize blueprints across teams.
Partner closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to generate innovative and user-centric product experience concepts
Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to integrate content design seamlessly into product experiences
Facilitate brainstorming and design sessions to help diverse teams drive towards decisions
Conduct content design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the highest quality execution across all projects
Continuously research and stay up-to-date on the latest content design trends and technologies, influencing the future of user experience
Extensive experience working with brand and copy standards, including style, voice and tone.
Experience using and leading Design Thinking and Human-centered design methods with cross functional teams.
Establish and champion content design best practices that ensures consistency and scalability
Present content design concepts and ideas clearly and persuasively to design leadership and executives, fostering collaboration and buy-in
Mentor and collaborate with junior content designers and UX writers cross teams, fostering a strong design culture
About you:
10+ years of experience in content design or UX writing, technical writing, and content strategy
Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of writers and content designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
Experience curating content for a variety of mediums and diverse audiences, demonstrating versatility and adaptability
Strong understanding of content design principles, user-centered design, and design research
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of creativity and attention to detail
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma, Mural)
A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of content design and elevate experiences to a new level
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (ex. English, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related technical field such as Computer Science or Design). Master’s preferred.
