Tax Knowledge Assistant Manager/Manager (Writer) for Saudi Arabia

Writing for any organization comes with certain duties, and responsibilities. Listed below are some of the tasks the Writer might be expected to complete.

Key responsibilities of the Writer

  • Assist the Researcher whose role will require him/her to search for and retrieve information on tax and regulatory developments from public sources and databases that can be used as topics for publication
  • Fact check any data collected during the research process provided by the Researcher.
  • Convert the information acquired into readable and easy to understand content tailored to the specific audience
  • Develop well-written content for internal and external distribution and submit that to the Knowledge Manager and Director for review
  • Read internal EY style guides and policies to ensure the writing style is aligned to the firm
  • Revise the work based on the editorial feedback from the Knowledge leader.

Skills and attributes for success

If you are an excellent writer who communicates well and a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and is comfortable working across borders with a wide network of people, you will be perfect for the role.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in English language, English literature, Media and Communications, Journalism, Creative Writing, or other relevant fields
  • At least five years’ experience working as a writer in the industry, and within the context of accounting, business, finance, law, taxation, etc.
  • Excellent command of the English language, especially the rules of syntax, punctuation, and grammar
  • Ability to break down complex concepts into understandable summaries or briefs
  • Ability to own his/her work and proactively communicate with the relevant stakeholders to deliver quality work within the expected timelines.
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Good observation skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Effective time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to speak, read and write Arabic (preferred but not required)
