The purpose of the role is to engage with the political and healthcare environment to shape the healthcare systems (both the SK and EU) in favor of the innovative pharmaceutical industry, seeking a positive perception of the industry and fostering trust-based relationship with key national policy makers, regulators, and other stakeholders to understand their priorities and level ofengagement/influence.
The role also covers establishing and maintaining strong and trustful partnership with patient organizations and other non-governmental organizations focusing on patient advocacy and help to patients in need and planning and execution of patient engagement activities.

Main responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze political and regulatory environment (SK and EU) issues which might have impact on the Company business as usual.
- Identify and predict key developments and issues that might bring new opportunities to the business goals and anticipate potential threats. Provide a strategic guidance to the Company leadership and business response.
- Prepare analyses and policy background papers to ensure internal alignments within relevant teams and roles on assigned priorities and activities.
- Develop evidence and position papers for advocacy messaging for assigned priorities.
- Find relevant partners among various stakeholders for continuous dialogue on key healthcare policy issues.
- Develop and foster trust-based working relationships with key nationalpartners/stakeholders.
- Ensure a good collaboration across individual business units and other supportive functions on the national, cluster and regional levels.
- Foster trustful relationships with patient organizations, support their empowerment and drive mutually beneficial activities.
- Drive Company agenda through relevant country industry/business associations and represent the Company.
- Manage PAGs relations as a part of stakeholder’s map and build up professional partnerships and collaboration in
- Cultivate external communication from perspective of expert driven reputation and as well to support trustful image of the company and mitigate any reputational risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve the best results as a one team in the country update colleagues with important HC Policy developments.

Competencies Required (minimum requirements):
- University degree in public health, law, economics, political science, or related field
- Slovak language – excellent written and spoken.
- English – fluent written and spoken compulsory, other languages as a benefit.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in local healthcare policy environment. Experience in a pharmaceutical sector is an advantage.
- Thorough understanding of the healthcare policy and legislative processes in the Slovak Republic and how to influence them, mobilize stakeholders around a particular topic to achieve change consistent with the Company´s goals.
- Advanced level of EU HealthCare legislation knowledge (when relevant for pharma business)
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with focus on ability to work in a cross-functional teams’ environment.
- Ability to think and act in a complexity with a clear customer focus and solution orientation.
