Job Description:
In your day-to-day role, you will:
Design and implement proactive and reactive risk management frameworks to predict, identify, and mitigate potential threats across the consumer transaction lifecycle.
Work closely with engineering, data science, and Consumer teams to develop and refine risk requirements that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Leverage PayPal’s extensive transaction data and advanced machine learning capabilities to analyze fraud patterns and develop effective mitigation strategies
Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement of risk management solutions.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fraud rates, false positives, and customer impact to assess the effectiveness of risk strategies.
Foster trust and cultivate strong relationships across the organization to drive collaboration, alignment, and consensus on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
6+ years of product management experience, driving end-to-end product development and delivering impactful solutions.
Demonstrated passion for solving customer pain points through robust backend risk infrastructure, with a foundation in risk management principles and best practices.
Strong technical acumen with a proven ability to push boundaries and deliver exceptional value to end users.
Experience in early-stage product development, with a creative and agile approach to rapidly drive learning and deliver impact.
Highly analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to define success metrics, track performance, and influence outcomes through quantitative insights.
Great at cutting through the noise and zeroing in on what actually matters—you know how to get to the heart of a problem fast.
Proven ability to foster collaborative environments and build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Data Science, Vendor Partners, and fellow Product Managers.
General understanding of digital payments, financial technology, and the broader fintech ecosystem.
Prior experience in fraud or risk management is preferred but not required.
