Microsoft Immersive Experiences Lead - Customer Engagement Team

As part of the Customer Engagement Team, we are looking for an experiential+digital marketer to become one of our Immersive Experience leads. This “strategic-doer” role will help create interactive and engaging industry-focused immersive experiences that highlight Microsoft’s commercial solution areas and AI technologies to accelerate sales. You will be a combo of content strategist+ creative producer + project manager - and have first-hand working knowledge of how immersive experience technologies can most effectively be deployed. This position will help create immersive experiences -- customer-facing demos that we deliver both 3D (three dimensional) physically and with digital scale - and be accountable for site immersive experiences fabrications and installations at the centers, as well as budget management, project management, stakeholder input, communications, and measurement.The Immersive Experiences Lead is a self-starter with the ability to build partnerships. This role requires an individual who has proficient project management skills and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You should be able to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and deliver independently on both strategic and tactical program initiatives.  You should be organized, comfortable establishing processes and guidelines, collaborative, and able to work individually and collectively with the Immersive Experiences team and as a cross-functional partner and thought leader.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in marketing, content strategy, experiential marketing/immersive design in a program/project management capacity
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with vendor/agency management and operational excellence with demonstrated strategic planning ability
  • Creative thinking ability to design and optimize new processes and solutions
  • Problem solving and escalation management in a complex environment
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Proficient project management skills with proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with entertainment, marketing, or technology sectors
  • Understanding of AI transformation and cloud computing concepts and trends, including Microsoft’s Commercial Solution Areas and technologies

Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Site Directors, Envisioning Specialists, cross functional teams and key industry stakeholders on designing and deploying immersive experiences at scale both virtually and for our various customer centers globally.
  • Define and implement processes and cadence for keeping experiences up to date and in alignment with industry priorities and solution offerings.
  • Partner with the broader Customer Engagement Team on A/V, content management, and technology strategy as it relates to experiences.
  • Provide communications of updates, process changes, experience announcements and significant wins that occur in the business.
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Conversations with the team for executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Perform program landscape research and analysis, forecast and examine business trends (e.g., customer feedback and expectations) to identify audience size and program scope, and stay current, agile, competitive, and contribute to programs impacting the broader unit. Show thought leadership in contributing to overall business goals, objectives, strategies, and short- and long-term business priorities. Understand and identify current program risks, impact, and develop mitigation plans impacting the broader unit.
  • Identify and scope opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones impacting the broader unit. Lead the identification and resolution of root problems (e.g., root-cause analysis) and the definition of the program strategy. Gather program requirements, identify resource needs, create the project plan and targets, and work across teams to align on the plan of record. Drive clarity in highly complex program issues and strive for simplification.
  • Lead others who work with cross-functional (e.g., organizational, product, business) stakeholders (e.g., Engineering) to design highly complex programs from initiation to delivery, independently. Provide expertise to produce collateral (e.g., proposals, strategy walking deck, internal and external pitch content) to incorporate stakeholder needs and ensure the business objectives are met.
  • Lead the defining and tracking of success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs] and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]), such as quality, adoption, usage, impact, and effectiveness for the program.
  • Lead a portfolio of projects including the project plan, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for highly complex programs. Communicates the program status and risk to relevant stakeholders and holds them accountable for following the established schedule, risk mitigation plans, and processes. Establish objectives and success criteria for the project in an inclusive, collaborative manner with all stakeholders.
  • Provide insight to lead others to understand mapping or how people, process, technology, and systems work and impact one another. Lead the collaboration including leveraging other teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales) to ensure program processes are rigorous and executed efficiently. Develop processes around scope and scheduled changes for programs impacting the broader unit and communicate them to stakeholders. Recognize process gaps/inefficiencies and drive strategies for optimization.
