GPS Sector Operations Leader SLED, Associate Director

Reporting to theIndustry Group Strategy & Operations Leader, you’ll support State/Local/Education (in the origination, development and implementation of the Sector’s go to market strategy. This includes the development of strategic planning and analysis, sales & revenue forecasting, capital allocation, management, and funding thereof, and Sector value realization and KPIs. The role leads Sector go to market operations. This individual also supports and or leads strategy initiatives on an ad hoc basis, owns integrated planning, the Sector budget, NBD, and related expenses and provides direct input into the deployment and analysis of GTM management reporting.


Day to day responsibilities

  • Provides operational support for the development of Sector growth strategies.
  • Manages and analyzes Sector pipeline, sales, revenue and performance, future demand areas to make informed go to market decisions.
  • Reviews and provide insights on market trends, specifically, what is on our clients’ agendas and how do these translate into revenue generating opportunities.
  • Development of strategic planning and analysis and ownership of integrated planning process includes:
  • Supports GCSP succession planning (criteria & assessment).
  • Business performance analyses.
  • Priority account selection & Core growth solutions.
  • Sector value realization and KPIs.
  • Sales operations including forecasting, and pipe hygiene.
  • Sector innovation and investment portfolio.
  • Supports inter-functional interface with SLs, OSE, BD, BMC, Finance, Operations
  • Owns the integrated planning process for the Sector, including revenue planning, GIP, LRP
  • Oversees implementation of firm standards on sales management and operational disciplines in the Sector, including use of firm standard tools & technologies
  • Oversees Sector budget, NBD, and related expenses.
  • Supports connectivity across Americas Markets and related functional groups, including Alliances & Managed Services, SRO, CEL, L&D, Markets Insights, etc.
  • Drives QBRs, billings and collections.

Additional skills/qualities needed to be successful in this role:

  • 10+ years of relevant Government sales operations experience
  • A proven record in the SLED space.
  • Demonstrates high level of judgment and independence
  • Ability to identify gaps in execution in clustered sectors and help resolve
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate market and Sector knowledge into the creation or modification of sector strategy
  • Much work is done independently; however, there is significant project work that requires teaming with and supervising and/or providing guidance to various firm resources (e.g., marketing, sales, and knowledge resources).
  • Position often requires influencing/managing and to some extent supervising people (responsible for certain projects/initiatives) senior to the position (i.e., sector leader and senior partners).
  • Strong working knowledge of Sector and sector, its drivers and challenges
  • Position requires high level knowledge of:
  • Firm’s organization, structure and culture
  • Client serving professionals’ needs to better serve accounts
  • Understanding of Business issues and trends
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships at a senior level
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively (written/verbally) with people on a global basis
  • Understanding of firm’s knowledge sharing resources and capabilities
  • Bachelor’s/University degree, preferrably in business or equivalent experience, advanced degree a plus
What we offer

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $133,300 to $249,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $160,000 to $283,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
