Job Description

• Develop models for advanced films measurements in semiconductor manufacturing and development, primarily using optical spectroscopy including spectroscopic ellipsometry and spectroscopic ellipsometry

• The best qualified candidates will have education and experience with optics and optical spectroscopy.

• Enable customer success by providing them with high quality measurements enabling them to reduce variability in their processes.
• Develop models for advanced films measurements in semiconductor manufacturing and development.
• Use analytical skills to troubleshoot customer material issues based on metrology results.
• Documents results and makes presentations on all aspects of products.
• Assists sales & marketing staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications.
• Work collaboratively with many organizations including engineering, service, sales and marketing within KLA and with customer engineers.
• Conduct new product introduction projects.
• Provide escalation support to onsite field service engineer; leading and coordinating remote/local troubleshooting.
• Perform experiments to characterize tool/subcomponent performance and develop recipes to model applications.
• Applications engineer will manage in-house customer demonstrations and head-to-head (H2H) activities at customer facilities.
