Transformational leadership is needed to support the acceleration of service sales revenue growth. This role will be responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of inside sales professionals. Implement virtual selling tools & technologies that are best in class, and structure stakeholders & customer engagements. Role will require finesse in crafting inside sales strategies and execution plans, coupled with strong people and process management skills. The Service Sales Manager will be a key architect and driver of superior service sales results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner to create a high performing sales culture for the service sales team.
  • Craft service sales strategies that drive elevated capture rates, revenue growth and customer experience.
  • Deliver sales results as established in the annual quota process. Seek opportunities to drive growth faster than historical performance.
  • Foster close working relationships between the traditional field sales teams and the service sales organization. Accelerate effectiveness of territory planning.
  • Establish and enable the appropriate linkage between traditional sales functions and service sales: training, marketing, objectives, etc.
  • Seek opportunities to drive capital purchases, upgrades, and service as appropriate.
  • Lead strategic projects or initiatives within the traditional sales, service sales or sales operations functions.
  • Manage team of Service Sales Reps including recruiting, hiring, performance management, talent development, career progression, etc.
  • Work closely with Virtual Sales COE to ensure digital infrastructure in place to meet the team’s needs across data, process and engagement platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent field of study
  • 5+ years’ experience in capital equipment, service, marketing, sales or inside sales; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience, with a team of 3 or more, of diverse and inclusive people leadership.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Strong objection handling skills and ability to train through role playing.
  • Proven ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
  • Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, and time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Robust negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Adaptable with learning new products, programs, and processes quickly.
  • Proficient with various technologies that increases productivity and efficiency.
  • Experience with customer relationship management software.
  • Ability to develop and nurture strong relationships with both internal team members and external customers to foster collaboration, trust, and mutual respect.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in capital equipment, service, marketing, sales or inside sales; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience, with a team of 3 or more, of diverse and inclusive people leadership.
  • Medical device experience.
