Job Description:
In this role, you will drive the end-to-end strategy and execution of RegTech initiatives, working at the intersection of PayPal Product launchs, compliance, legal, risk, product, engineering, and data. You’ll lead projects that span across KYC, AML, sanctions, regulatory reporting, and more—helping ensure that PayPal continues to operate safely, securely, and in compliance with global regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive RegTech product strategy , roadmap, and execution across multiple high-impact initiatives.
- Act as the voice of compliance in cross-functional forums, influencing product decisions and delivering business value while ensuring regulatory alignment.
- Lead project teams of engineers, designers, and analysts to build scalable, resilient compliance platforms and tools.
- Partner closely with legal, risk, engineering, and compliance stakeholders to align business objectives and accelerate delivery of initiatives.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment by continuously prioritizing evolving business needs and delivering under tight timelines.
- Represent compliance priorities across PayPal’s product ecosystem and advocate for strategic compliance investments .
- Mentor junior product managers and help build a strong RegTech product culture.
- Develop new KPIs and customer insights frameworks to ensure our solutions are meeting the needs of both users and regulators.
- Support talent initiatives by attracting, hiring, and growing top product talent.
- Work with quality engineering and development teams to consistently deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions aligned to roadmap milestones.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in product management , preferably in FinTech, RegTech, or Compliance domains.
- Deep knowledge of compliance disciplines (e.g., KYC, AML, Sanctions, Regulatory Reporting) and how they intersect with technology.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex programs from ideation to launch.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels , including senior executives.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Track record of working in ambiguous and fast-moving environments , balancing both short-term execution and long-term strategy.
- Passion for customer-centric problem-solving and data-driven product development.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior PMs is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as BSA/AML, GDPR, FATF guidelines, OFAC , or tax reporting obligations .
- Experience working with data science or machine learning teams on compliance-related use cases.
- Background in enterprise or platform product management .
