Coordinate with outsourced providers, corporate tax function and external advisors together with the local finance team to ensure full and accurate compliance with all local statutory and tax requirements. This includes keeping on top of all new and emerging requirements and advising the CFO and CVP as appropriate on the most effective route to ensure compliance.

Required Qualifications (RQs)

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience
  • This person should have a CPA or an MBA - Finance or a Cost Accountancy degree or a combination of these qualifications with 15 plus years of experience.
  • He/She should possess strong leadership skills, business partnering capabilities and controls & compliance culture.
  • It is preferable that the person has experience in multinational financial operations with good understanding of US GAAP, IGAAP etc.

Responsibilities

  • End to End ownership of controllership responsibilities for all legal entities and subsidiaries in India.
  • People manager role managing team across all businesses in India; team located across Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
  • Overall responsibility for all entities in India:
    • US GAAP
    • India GAAP accounting
    • Reporting
    • Statutory and Tax compliances
    • Treasury, etc.
  • Responsible to manage external relationships with:
    • Bankers
    • Statutory Auditors
    • Tax Consultants
    • Outsourced Vendors for shared services, etc.
  • The role will work very closely with respective finance organizations in each business groups as well as with the India Controls and Compliance organization.
  • The role requires expertise in managing through impact and influence; requires comfort in operating in a matrix organization with several stakeholders.
  • Close collaboration with HR, legal, tax and trade, real estate and facilities, procurement, finance shared services, supply chain and other functions.

    • The Financial Controller has primary responsibility for timely and accurate production of statutory and management accounts as well as other filings. This role drives business productivity improvements through holding business partners to account, best practice sharing and ROI analysis.
    • Collaborate with the area Control & Compliance lead to embed compliance into the finance and business processes within the subsidiary.
