Your role:

  • Develop innovative mechanical functions for our Breast Feeding (breast pumps) and Infant Feeding (bottles)/Comforting (soothers) portfolio and other categories.
  • Lead and execute technology feasibility investigations aligned with our strategy.
  • Translate consumer insights into new product ideas and optimizations.
  • Stay ahead by monitoring competitor products and performances.
  • Collaborate closely with research peers to integrate infant and mom physiology understanding into our product functions.
  • Embrace a fast-iteration approach from ideation to implementation.
  • Work with our cost engineering team to balance quality and cost.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability in partnership with our industrialization team and suppliers.
  • Ensure that new functions are aesthetically integrated without compromising core functionality together with our Design team.
  • Create test and verification equipment together with our Test & Verification team to ensure high product quality.
  • Test and validate new product functionalities alongside our consumer testing team.
  • Communicate new functionalities clearly across our organization.
  • Generate Invention Disclosure ideas and assess competitors' patents for potential infringements.


You're the right fit if:

  • Minimum of 4 years of combined professional and Graduate level in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design Engineering (with an Engineering focus) or Mechatronics.
  • Highly Proficient in parametric 3D CAD modelling, preferably in Creo.
  • Experience with or good understanding of pressure mechanisms like a "breast pump."
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical product development in plastic, silicone products and metal forming.
  • Proven experience in developing new functions in consumer products.
  • Strong skills in optimizing designs for manufacturing.
  • Ability to quickly iterate: ideate, design, build, measure, iterate.
  • Experience in designing and co-developing test equipment for product functionality.
  • Proficient in handling intellectual property, drafting ideas for patent filings, and assessing potential infringements.
  • Preferred experience in prototyping electronics.
