The Production/Material Planner is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies are delivered to Solar Edge production sites to support production needs optimally. This individual must fully understand Solar Edge’s supply chain and production operations and be an expert on their assigned product or commodities. They will deploy inventory strategies, be responsible for product change and associated material planning implications, manage and solve exceptions, and drive supplier execution. This role involves daily management of supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation, supplier engagement, and the relentless pursuit of operational excellence and continuous improvement. The Production/Material Planner role is typically global in scope and requires cross-functional engagement within Solar Edge and across the extended supply chain.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop appropriate planning parameters within the ERP / MRP system to procure raw materials efficiently—consider supply risk, lead time, efficient ordering quantities, and develop an effective inventory strategy.
• Works effectively with key supply chains in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. to minimize the total supply cost to Solar Edge.
• Raise, execute, and manage purchase orders, ensuring the data in the ERP system is maintained and effective.
• Expediting material supply as needed.
• Manage supplier scoreboards and scoring systems to drive continuous improvement.
• Establish vendors and secondary vendors for critical materials
• Understand and manage supplier capacity to ensure supply risks are identified and managed. Takes proactive measures to address risks before they impact supply.
• Maintain effective and positive working relationships within the Supply Chain and cross-functional teams across Solar Edge.
• Any other activities necessary to ensure the Supply Chain group delivers its objectives.
• Occasional travel to other sites; possible international travel
