We have specialist tax and finance skill sets spanning the areas of Statutory Reporting, Service Management, Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting, Indirect Tax, FMS, Funds Tax Management, and Payroll. We focus on supporting our clients in managing their compliance and reporting requirements, centrally and locally, and delivering on their transformation agendas. Your key responsibilities

  • End-to-end review of the indirect tax returns and related work papers
  • Validation if the deliverables are prepared to the agreed standards and quality, using the appropriate EY technology
  • Interpreting and complying with VAT regulations and legislations
  • Proactively resolving tax-related problem and making recommendations for business and process improvements
  • Cooperation with other projects members to handle the engagement related activities for the Central team or Local EY representatives
  • Contact with bookkeeping teams in case of any issues with posting of the transactions.
  • Assist in preparation of responses to various tax audits
  • Gain details of Client operations, processes and business activities
  • Understanding of the client’s businesses, so to be able to help identify risks or issues in their data, or unusual trends

  • Lead, supervise, train and mentor staffs and interns on the engagements
  • A team-player, dedicated to exceptional client service
  • Monitor the performance and create opportunities for growth and guide the counselees on enhancing the technical and non-technical skills.
  • Identify the training needs and organize the trainings

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Graduate/Postgraduates preferably in Finance/Tax
  • At least 4-6 years of professional experience in Indirect Tax compliance (VAT), Accounts Payable / Receivable,
  • Strong computer skills in particular MS Office applications (mainly Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of tax regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills in English

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • High level knowledge and experience of a local country Indirect Tax Compliance.
  • Knowledge of Global Indirect Tax Compliance and the associated processes.
